Psychology is a major part of our lives, influencing many areas of it. Does that fascinate you, too? Then this is your chance to study psychology. Our bachelor’s programme has unrestricted admission.  

Our goal is to focus on research and academic work – because psychology is an empirical science. 

The online study programme at IU does not enable you to become a psychotherapist. However, it opens up a wide variety of exciting perspectives, for example in clinical psychology. Your expertise is needed in children’s clinics, hospitals, rehabilitation clinics as well as psychiatric and social-pediatric institutions. You can also work in a counselling center for family or marriage counselling or in research and teaching.  

In addition, you are needed in areas such as organisational or health psychology. Your study programme offers a range of electives for you to shape your own profile. 

By the way: The bachelor’s programme in Psychology adheres to the guidelines of the DGP (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Psychologie e.V., German Society of Psychology) and is recognised by the BDP (Berufsverband Deutscher Psychologinnen und Psychologen e.V., Professional Association of German Psychologists).
