The online study programme in Speech Therapy is aimed at speech therapists who have completed their vocational training. With our programme, these candidates have the opportunity to complete further academic training with a Bachelor’s degree in just three semesters. Based on prior knowledge, 90 ECTS can thus already be recognised automatically, which reduces the standard period of study by half.
Speech therapy is in a state of change – not least due to the very high demands placed on qualification in the health professions and the increasing shift towards academisation as a consequence of an optimised level of vocational training throughout Europe. The focus of the study programme is, therefore, on reflection – both of scientific findings and the processes of decision-making in examination and therapy. Furthermore, it involves the interlinking of the latest knowledge and health economic aspects, as well as interdisciplinary and patient-oriented communication with one’s own therapeutic practice. The transfer of competencies beyond the scope of therapy is also dealt with in detail.
The online study programme in Speech Therapy provides you with the opportunity to work as a reflective practitioner based on your vocational education. This includes, above all, the skills to further develop logopaedic action against the backdrop of scientific findings, economic and political developments within health, and individual patient needs.
